13 noggins reporting for duty

I made it to Oahu and to the ship.  I'm excited to be here.
This was what my luggage looked like: a couple small carry-ons and a couple cardboard boxes of styrofoam heads.  The auntie at the airport asked what was in the boxes, and when I said "styrofoam heads", she responded with a quick, cheery, unsurprised "okay!" as if she hears that all the time.

Here's a selfie of me and the RV Kilo Moana.  I didn't realize this until I was doing it, but I don't think I had ever taken a selfie before.  How silly is that?

These are the styrofoam cups some kids and students colored in the last few days.  They'll go down into the ocean with instruments and get changed by the pressure.  Stay tuned for the "after" photos.

Here are the dozen styrofoam heads I that made up my checked "luggage".  They were decorated by HPA students.  They'll travel down, too, and I'll let you see them when they come back up.
